If you can’t tell from this wonderful TMZ Sports picture, Colin Kaepernick doesn’t give a damn what you and
once alleged double murderer OJ Simpson thinks about him taking a knee to bring awareness to racism and police brutality.
Kaepernick gives 0 fucks!
Kaepernick was in Houston to attend Texans owner, Bob McNair’s collusion case deposition, wearing a black T-shirt with the name Kunta Kinte on it with a full afro. Kunta Kinte is a character in the novel Roots: The Saga of an American Family by American author Alex Haley. Haley claimed that Kunta Kinte was based on one of his ancestors: a Gambian man who was born in 1750, enslaved and taken to America and who died in 1822.* Kunta Kinte resisted being a slave and the name “Toby” that his slaveowner wanted to give him. Kunta Kinte never stopped fighting for his freedom. While Kaepernick has remained relatively silent during his protests, being vilified by many Americans, blackballed from the NFL and even the President of the United States implying he was a son of a bitch for protesting, his T-shirt spoke loud and clear.
Once I saw the picture of Kaepernick the spirit of ancestrally petty rose up in me!!! LMAO!!
If you can’t tell Kaepernick ain’t going for your bullshit.
Kap walked up in there like how Don Lemon walks into CNN to report the news after Trump got elected.
Kap walked in there like, “Nah buddy ain’t gonna be no suit and tie today.”
Kap walked up in there like his last Uno card was draw four.
Kap walked up in there like he just ate a plate of “not today bitches” for breakfast.
Kap walked up in there like indeed his shit don’t stink.
Kap walked up in there like a White woman with a receipt and the manager’s number on speed dial.
Kap walked up in there like a mediocre, racist White man running for office.
Kap walked up in there like I’m Kunta Kinte! Put some respect on my name.
Kap walked up in there like he spent all night dancing to the rhythm of a djembe while sipping a glass of the Nile on the rocks.
Kap walked up in there like he had his passport and a ticket to Wakanda.
Kap walked up in there like, “Try me if you want to.”
Kap walked up in there like M’Baku stepped to T’Challa.
Kap walked up in there like he had both jokers and all the spades.
Kap walked up in there with the scent of “Give Us Free” on his breath.
Kap walked up in there like Rihanna saying, “Don’t act like you forgot! I call the shots, shots, shots! Bitch better have my money!”
Kap walked up in there like how Killmonger told that White museum director when he was looking at the African artifacts, “Don’t trip—I’m gonna take it off your hands for you. How do you think your ancestors got these? Do you think they paid a fair price? Or did they take it… like they took everything else?”
KAP DIDN’T COME TO PLAY WITH Y’ALL!
I see you, Kaepernick and I ain’t mad at you! Handle your business!! I aspire to reach your level of Woke Petty** – 1 part petty, 1 part try me if you want to and 2 parts, I don’t give a fuck!
**Thank you Ashlee Clark Thompson for sharing the phrase Woke Petty with me. @ashleeeats Follow her on Instagram!
