Throughout history, White men have committed some of the worst, heinous, atrocious crimes against humanity. From the horrors of slavery, countless wars, the Holocaust, lynchings, and Jim Crow (just to name a few), White men have been at the helm. White men have invaded and devastated entire continents. White men have done anything, and everything to gain power then abused their power by lying, stealing, raping, killing, and almost destroying entire races of people with no regard for anyone but themselves. The history is real, and the numbers do not lie. Yet White men have worked tirelessly to make it appear as if everyone else is a monster all while their hands are caked with the blood of innocent men, women, and children.

Even the President of the United States, Donald Trump follows the blueprint of painting everyone else except White men as monsters. He built his campaign upon the belief that America needs to build a wall to keep the “bad hombres” out all while White men continue to rip a hole through the heart of this nation.

People have asked Trump to speak out about gun violence but why would he do that? Trump is gonna Trump all day. The National Rifle Association spent more than 11 million dollars to support Trump’s campaign. Not only that, Trump can’t even vet White men in his OWN administration. White House aide, Rob Porter, was allowed to handle the most sensitive and classified documents to reach the president’s desk for more than a year — without a permanent security clearance. This is after the FBI spoke to two of his ex-wives that informed them of his violent and physically abusive behavior. So expecting Trump to actually do anything than be the person he has always been, a man that himself is accused of assault against women, is laughable.

Although Trump and many White men just like him, don’t want to admit the truth, the numbers are painfully evident. Statistics show that since 1982, the majority of mass shootings — 54 percent — were committed by White men, according to data from Mother Jones.

Stephen Paddock killed 58 people with 851 people injured.
Tim McVeigh killed 168 people with more than 600 people injured
James Holmes killed 12 people, and 58 were injured.
Eric Harris and Dylan Keboid killed 13 people 24 injured.
Adam Lanza killed 20 kids between the ages of 6 and 7 as well as 6 adult staff members.
Michael Carneal killed 3 people and 5 people were injured.
Gabe Parker killed 2 people, and more than a dozen people were injured.
Dylan Roof killed 9 people with 1 person injured.

The list is almost endless.

My question, since Trump and so many #MAGA sycophants want to vet every other race, is, “When are we going to start vetting White men?” White men have proven themselves to be the largest group of domestic terrorists in America, so I believe now is the time that we start asking White men some questions. When will we start asking White men, “Are you a perpetrator of domestic violence because there seems to be a direct correlation to abuse against women and mass shooters?” “Are you a part of a White Supremacist group?” “How do you feel about White on White crime?” “Do you feel that Colin Kaepernick was unpatriotic for kneeling to bring awareness to police brutality?” “Do you feel that Trayvon Martin deserved to die?” “Do you believe that the police are always justified when they kill a Black man?” “Do you find yourself sympathizing with Nazis?” “How do you feel about the Me Too movement?” “What are your thoughts on feminism?” “What are your reasons for flying the Confederate flag?” “What are your feelings about Muslims?” When you chant, “Build that wall,” what are your reasons for that? “How do you feel about Black people?” “If your daughter was dating a Black man, how would that make you feel?” “How do you feel about Mexicans?” “Do you feel like Mexicans are ‘stealing your jobs’?”

Let’s start with these questions when we are vetting White men when they want to purchase a gun.

But we all know that won’t happen.

Even in the face of the most recent tragedy in Parkland, Flordia where Nikolas Cruz killed 17 innocent people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, White men will create every excuse in the book to distance themselves from reality or attempt to make America sympathize with a murderer. Because to admit these White men are what they are means it could be them too.

Making a fundamental change means ADMITTING the truth. And the fact is, White men are the problem.

White men want to make EVERYONE ELSE the problem never taking the time to look in the mirror and examine their own reflection throughout HISTORY. And admitting THE TRUTH. The truth is what it is.

Until White men can come to grips with their crimes against humanity, past and present, nothing will ever change.
