I love winning. Who doesn’t? I grew up in an era where everyone didn’t receive a participation trophy. And quite frankly, I never wanted a participation trophy. I strived to be the best at whatever I set my mind to do. I wanted to win, and I wanted my winning to have precise definitions; first, second or third.

I, like everyone, likes to win, however, there is a problem when you want to win by any means necessary. That is the problem with Donald Trump. He is obsessed with winning and with this obsession it doesn’t matter who gets caught in the crossfire.

It is a dangerous thing when someone wants to win at any cost, at the expense  and well-being of others.

When it came to eliminating Obamacare, it didn’t matter to Donald Trump that millions of people would be left without health coverage. It didn’t matter if people could not afford cancer treatments or their life-sustaining medications. The American people that got caught in Donald Trump’s crosshairs of winning would just be collateral damage. Because it was never about the healthcare. Trump doesn’t care about your healthcare. In truth, he doesn’t care about the details of who or what Obamacare serves. What Trump cares about is beating Barack Obama. Since Barack Obama became President, Trump has had a strange obsession with Barack Obama heading the birther movement as if Barack Obama hid where he was from all his life because he knew one day he would become President. Yet Donald Trump just couldn’t let it go, and many in White America did then as they are doing now, jumped on this birther movement without even taking just a moment to rationalize just how preposterous Trump’s claims were.

If we are honest, Trump is jealous of Barack Obama. Barack Obama is a self-made man. Barack Obama graduated from Columbia and went on to Harvard where he was the first Black president of the Harvard Law Review. He is a civil rights attorney and professor and taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School. Barack Obama was a Senator where he served for three terms before going on to secure his spot in history as the first African American President of the United States. He is a New York Times Bestseller, won The Nobel Peace Prize and is a skilled orator. To add the cherry on top he is married to Michelle Obama who is equally accomplished and is the proud father of two daughters who are well mannered and will go on to do amazing things in life. Trump believes someone like Obama should be shining his shoes, cooking in one of his hotel kitchens or being his caddie while he plays golf. Trump would like to put Obama in his place. Every time Trump sees Obama or hears his name, he is filled with jealousy to the point that he has made it the mission of his our hell presidency, to dismantle anything that Barack Obama has done. Trump is in a dick measuring contest with Barack Obama and trust me, as a Black woman I know, you are not going to win. Not today or tomorrow.

It is a sad, pathetic state when you are in competition with someone who doesn’t even know nor are they concerned that you are competing with them.

The same can be said about Trump’s position on the NFL protest. Colin Kaepernick started kneeling in the NFL preseason, August 14, 2016. Trump was silent. For the most part, the world was silent. This was not an issue on the campaign trails; it was not a topic in any speech he gave because Trump already had villains his base could point to- Hillary Clinton, Mexicans, and Blacks in Chicago. This only became an issue because the man behind the curtain has been revealed. The veneer is wearing off. The shouts of Make America Great Again are falling on deaf ears. So, Trump needs a new villain, and he found it in Colin Kaepernick, who isn’t even IN the NFL any longer, and made this an issue about patriotism. He knows this topic will rile up his base because hyper-patriotism has become the new racism. That is why he can call NFL players that kneel son’s of bitches but doesn’t have the testicular fortitude to address White supremacists that terrorize an American town.

To double down on his dog whistles, Trump gets on Twitter and tries to rile up his base about NFL players kneeling, yet it backfired because more players started to kneel. But Trump isn’t going to lose. Oh no! So he essentially says, “Forget the players I will go after the organization.” So he gets on Twitter and mentions the NFL’s tax exemptions. Essentially telling the NFL to, “get your niggers to fall in line.” Is he going to do anything about the NFL tax exemptions? Of course not because often times wealthy, White men are cut from the same cloth which is why Jerry Jones can demand that African American players that have made him rich billions of times over must listen to their master.

Trump’s tactics NEVER CHANGE!

It is ALL SMOKE AND MIRRORS!

His tactics are so blatantly obvious that I am beginning to think most of his supporters think just like him or are too ignorant to realize that they are a pawn in his game.

Trump doesn’t care about healthcare. Trump doesn’t care about the NFL and Trump doesn’t care about the American people. Yes, even those that voted for him, he doesn’t give a shit about you. If you are White and poor and by poor I mean not in the 1%, he doesn’t give a shit about you. If you lost your job mining coal in the hills of West Virginia, he doesn’t give a shit about you. If your loved one was killed in a mass shooting, he doesn’t give a shit about you. If you lose all your belonging in a natural disaster, he doesn’t give a shit about you. If you need healthcare so that you can get cancer treatment, he doesn’t give a shit about you. Trump doesn’t give a shit about ANYONE but Donald Trump. And the sooner you realize that, the better off you will be.
